How to use Diviide

By Sam Wilson. Last updated August 1, 2026.

Diviide makes separators for your bookmarks bar. Pick a color, choose a separator, and drag it onto your bar. The whole thing takes a few seconds, and there is nothing to install.

What is Diviide?

Diviide is a free tool that makes separators for your bookmarks bar. A separator is a bookmark that divides your bookmarks bar into sections, instead of linking to a page. Put a few between your groups of bookmarks, and the bar becomes easy to scan instead of one long blur of tiny icons.

Make your first separator

  1. Choose a color from the sidebar, or open Advanced to pick any color you like.
  2. Find a separator by category, or search for a shape.
  3. Drag it onto your bookmarks bar.
The whole flow: pick a color, then drag a separator onto your bookmarks bar.

Tips that save time

  • Press / to jump to the search bar.
  • Press Escape to clear the search.
  • The Recent category keeps every separator you have dragged, newest first, so grabbing the same icon again takes one click.
  • Want your own color, or a labeled separator to title a folder? See advanced colors and labels.

Separator icons you can use

There are 182 separator icons, each in any of 16.7 million colors:

  • Shapes, like circles, squares, diamonds, stars, and hearts, filled or outlined.
  • Arrows, including chevrons and direction arrows.
  • Numbers, the digits 0 to 9 in plain, circled, and squared styles.
  • Finance, currency symbols for USD, EUR, GBP, and Bitcoin.
  • Math, common operators and symbols.
  • Brackets, parentheses, square brackets, and braces.
  • Symbols, like the ampersand, at sign, hash, and command key.
